![]() ![]() I have opened a support ticket on Rockstar Support but still no answer. I have already opened the Rocktar Support suggested ports in my router, restarted it many times, tried to open the launcher with administrator privileges, tried to limit the download bandwidth, but still no luck. I am trying to download the rest but as I wrote it's kind of impossible this way. I have already started the download with ~73 GB, because I had an older installation and I verified it. In the past i've used command lines such as -verify and -noChunkedDownload and it would work, because it gave me this kind of problem then too, but now with the new launcher I don't know what to do and theĬommand lines seem to not work for me. I admit I have a sh*tty internet connection, but I have installed the game before and without launcher (just the Social Club thing that was present before the Launcher debut). ![]() I have to press the "Retry" button everytime this happens because the download does not restart automatically and then the download keeps going on but this way it's impossible to download the game properly. I start the download and it's downloading as it should be, then after 5 minutes or so, a red banner with an error message ("GTA V has encountered an error.") shows and the download suddenly stops. While downloading GTA V (I own it through the launcher and am downloading it with that), a sort of connection error keeps showing every couple of minutes or so. I think Warframe, too.Hello everyone, I have a problem with the Rockstar Games Launcher. I think that last ESO update was bigger than that. Not one bit from the internet required besides the initial download from a friend's PC.Īh. I kind of grew tired of getting the *expletive* launcher to bend to my will.īy comparison, Witcher 3 was literally just double click the installer from the flash drive, wait a bit, and start playing. Pressing cancel doesn't kill the download right away, forcing me to shut off the hotspot, or killing the application and starting anew. Also, Steam tends to be less than co-operative when kept in offline mode for months at a time, and installing games from a flash drive is extremely hit or miss as verification often fails, and Steam decides to munch on my data limit trying to download a copy fresh. Downside here is that some games I really want (Final Fantasy XII, to name one) is not on GoG, so it may as well not exist right now.Ī substantial portion of my Steam games that I've already installed, all of which can be played single-player mind you, absolutely refuse to launch because updates are "required". Not one bit from the internet required besides the initial download from a friend's PC. Mobile phone for internet on a 6GB/month plan (with unlimited streaming Youtube, Netflix, etc at lower resolutions, even tethered), so downloading modern games is a rather ambitious endeavor.Ī substantial portion of my Steam games that I've already installed, all of which can be played single-player mind you, absolutely refuse to launch because updates are "required", all of which are multiple GB. ![]() So, what I've done is just put all my games on a 4TB drive, then add all those games to my Steam library manually. ![]() Went to download the game, and it only way I can redeem it is through the stupid launcher. When I bought my GPU, it came with a game download. All these different launchers are absurd. ![]()
